Dublin Native Fergal Mullen joins The Great World Race

Fergal is a co-founder and Partner of Highland Europe focused on enterprise SaaS and consumer internet companies (eCommerce, marketplace models, supporting eCommerce infrastructure).

Until the formation of Highland Europe, Fergal was a General Partner with Highland Capital Partners. He launched the firm in Europe in 2007 and Co-Founded Highland Europe in 2011. Before joining Highland, Fergal was a founding partner of RSA Ventures, the corporate venture fund of RSA Security, Inc. Fergal began his career at CTG from which Cambridge Technology Partners was formed in 1991. He was a founder and ultimately Senior Vice President of Cambridge Technology Partners (NASDAQ:CATP) and a member of the Global Executive Committee of the firm.

Fergal attended Harvard Business School, where he earned his M.B.A. in 1995. He also holds a B.S., Electrical Engineering, and a B.A., Business Economics from Brown University in 1989. Fergal began his academic career in Dublin at TU Dublin before transferring to Brown University.

At Brown University, Fergal was a member of the Track & Cross-Country teams. In 1987, Brown finished in the top 10 at the NCAA cross-country championships, a feat which has not been accomplished since. He captained the team in 1988.

Fergal’s interests include golf, long-distance running, backcountry skiing, biking, hiking, and traditional Irish violin. A native of Dublin, Ireland, Fergal lives in Geneva with his wife Jane and four children. Fergal is a fanatical Munster and Ireland rugby supporter. He has earned over 300 caps for each team playing scrum-half from his living room or from the stands while cheering on his heroes.

The CANSEARCH Foundation

The CANSEARCH Foundation finances research projects as part of the Child and Adolescent Onco-Hematology Unit of the Pediatric Department of the Geneva University Hospital. The Foundation is based in Geneva but is recognised internationally through its research projects, the creation of the first European biobank and amongst others its projects in India. CANSEARCH collaborates on a regular basis with various scientific partners and international networks to bring together their intellectual and financial forces to combat childhood cancer.  Visit cansearch.ch
